padmé did not understand the force. she did not know what it felt like to be able to sense other people’s emotions, to control things around herself without any touch, and, more than anything, she did not understand how the force had sent her into the future as her husband’s fist closed around her throat, instead of killing her. she didn’t need to understand the force to know that the young moisture farmer infront of her was her son or that the defiant imperial senator she would meet was her daughter. she didn’t need to understand the force to recognize obi-wan, aged beyond his years by the desert sun and heartache. and she most certaintly did not need the force to know that the man under the mask was anakin and that the seemingly heartless monster terrorizing the galaxy still loved her with every fiber of his being.
